When you are planning a wedding shower you want it to be unique and unforgettable. You will also want it to reflect your bride’s personal style. What better way to do this then the base the theme off of her favorite movie? A movie inspired bridal shower allows your guests to really get into the spirit and will serve as an inspiration for every aspect of the shower from the invitations to the food! In the next several posts I will list my top ten movie inspired bridal shower themes. Here is my number 10:
Breakfast at Tiffany’s!
This is one of the most classic bridal shower themes. Here are a few suggestions for your Breakfast at Tiffany’s themed bridal shower:
Time: Having “breakfast” in the title would probably make the assumption that it should be in the morning; however mid morning brunch would also be acceptable.
Venue: This could really be any indoor, classy venue. If you are having a small gathering I love home hosted for these bridal shower themes because you could get really creative with the decorations. However if you are having a larger gathering you may want to host it in a hotel banquet hall. Something that screams elegance and class!
Invitations: again elegance is key! You could choose to bring in the theme with the colors (Tiffany blue, silver, and white). I did a bridal shower with this theme once that encouraged everyone to wear their best little black dress and the invitation was actually an adorable black dress shaped card.
Food: Finger foods work great with this theme. Cucumber sandwiches, cookies, and chocolate covered strawberries would work perfectly. Champagne or mimosas are a must for this bridal shower theme.
Music: Of course the Breakfast at Tiffany’s soundtrack would be ideal; however any 1920’s slow and mellow tunes will suffice.
Decorations: This is one of the bridal shower themes that are very simple when it comes to decorations because your color palate is already decided. Stick to the Tiffany blue, white and silver colors and keep everything simple but elegant. For an extra special touch, many online favor retailers offer diamond favors, candles, and paperweights that will look gorgeous adorning the tables as well as a practical favor gift!
