When planning a wedding shower the first step is to come up with a theme.  The theme is the backbone of your party and it can be as traditional or as creative as you want it to be.  However, remember that your bridal shower is in honor of the bride to be, therefore a theme that shows her personal style.  Here are some ideas on how to your brides shower personable and memorable!

Her favorite movie: 

Use her favorite movie as a guide to your wedding shower theme.  Gone with the Wind is a fun theme.  Have everyone dress up in hoop skirts and spiral curls with ribbons.  Serve southern home cooking and have everyone talk in southern accents. 

How about the classic Breakfast at Tiffany’s theme?  The colors would be tiffany blue, white, and silver and you can give Tiffany’s inspired favors to all the guests.  Instruct your guests to wear their little black dress and have long strand pearls and long satin gloves for your guests to dress up in.  Remember to have a tiara handy for the bride to wear.
