Looking to plan a totally unique bridal shower to commemorate your friend’s upcoming nuptials? Here is the second part of how to pan a bridal shower that is personable, unique, and very memorable. Here are a few more things you need to consider when budget planning:
Decorations: The next step to planning a unique bridal shower is to translate your ideas into your decorations. Depending on your venue you may need very little decorations; however the way you decorate is what is really going to bring the theme to life. For example if you are doing a “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” theme you could adorn the tables with diamond shaped tea light candles and diamond shaped paper weights (found at any online bridal favor store).
Favors: You will also want to consider the favors as a part of the decorations to make them functional for you and the guests. For the above theme example there are gorgeous diamond key rings that come in adorable rind boxes that would look perfect adorning each place setting.
Food: The next on the list to creating a unique bridal shower is the food. Most people serve something generic or a potluck. But to truly make your bridal shower memorable why not incorporate your theme into your food? For a tea party theme you can serve finger foods such as cucumber sandwiches and sugar cookies (biscuits). For a 1950’s theme you can serve grasshoppers (a delicious mint cocktail that was popular in this era) or you can do 50’s diner food.
Music: There are several things to consider for music and it depends on how elaborate your unique bridal shower is. Most people just download music to their iPod and put it on shuffle for the duration of the event. Others hire a band or DJ, although this would be pretty elaborate. Either way you should think about your theme when choosing the music. For example a steel drum band would be perfect for a beach theme wedding, or swing music would fit a roaring 20’s theme.
